On Friday the 25th May Hayes (Kent) Lodge enjoyed a double celebration, not only was Dr Alessandro Ruzzi installed into the Chair of King Soloman and afterwards receiving a field promotion to PGStB from RW Bro Mark Estaugh the Provincial Grand Master for the Province of West Kent.
The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master went on to present a citation to W.Bro Gordon Taylor for 60 years service to Freemasonry.
It was an extremely emotional time not only for the recipients but the whole lodge. Gordon thanked the RW Provincial Grand Master and said how extremely pleased he was to be a freemason and a member of this wonderful lodge. The whole evening was enjoyed by 79 attending including the Provincial Grand Master of Picady in France who afterwards enjoyed a sumptuous festive board at Wrotham. The whole event was crowned with a presentation of a Masonic Cake to Gordon at the festive board.
