Friday the 4th December, 2015 was a very special day for the Hayes (Kent) Lodge as they not only welcomed their latest recruit into their ranks, Bro Richard Wilson but both the R.W. Provincial Grand Master Mark Estaugh, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master W.Bro Phil May the Provincial DC W.Bro Eric Hampson and four escorting Provincial Officers attended to bear witness to one of the finest ceremonies of recent years conducted by the Worshipful Master Ed Hunt.
Mr Richard Philip Wilson is welcomed into the Hayes (Kent) Lodge by the R.W. Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro Mark Estaugh and the Worshipful Master Ed Hunt.
Also present were nine visitors from Denmark, two from Norway and one from Cyprus. Gifts were presented to the Worshipful Master and Fraternal Greetings offered.
The festive board had its usual entertainment from the Lodge guitarists and sixty brethren sat down to the Hayes Kent Christmas meal and everybody went home with a raffle prize.
Even the RW Provincial Grand Master referred to Hayes Kent as a very very special lodge in West Kent and he thanked the lodge in their recent efforts for getting a grant through the MSF that could potentially benefit hundreds of Masons worldwide.
